Magnifying Glass Lenses

Lens I-Oklahoma's Biodiversity
This track will focus on the five ecoregions in the state and the diversity of plants and animals that live and migrate through OK.
Lens II-Cultural Diversity
This track will focus on different ethnicities and how these diverse cultures can increase awareness and appreciation of overlooked members of environmental education.

Lens III-Community Diversity
This track will focus on rural and urban areas and how people in these communities help gain access to all groups.

Lens IV-Educating for Diversity
This track will focus on educators and groups that encourage diversity in their curricula and teaching.

Kim Doner - Author and illustrator of children's books.
Emilio Williams - Founder of the Koi group; helps facilitate diversity into programs.
Julian Agyeman - Tufts Univ Prof will lead us in a panel discussion on bringing diversity into EE in higher education.

Additional conference opportunity!

Are you interested in enrolling in enrolling in credit course in conjunction with coming to the conference? Then enroll in CIED 4560/5280.600 Env. Education for Sustainability a one credit hour course with Ted Mills. This course will be offered in conjunction with the conference, and course information is located at http://www.okstate.edu/education/outreach/.

You would be responsible in attending/registering for the conference on 2/13 in the Wes Watkins Center, and also paying the course tuition, and attending additional course meetings as required by the professor. If you are interested in enrolling in this course, please call or come by our office and we can get you enrolled.
