“Cultivating CommunitEE”.
The 2025 OK EE Expo was held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Oklahoma City Zoo.
Our Keynote Panel featured Travis Andrews of Native Farming Solutions, Elizabeth Callicoat from the Durant Green School Program, Natalie Evans with OKC Beautiful and Abby Randall from EcoRise. The panel discussed how they are able to cultivate community in their work in Environmental Education. Breakout sessions included topics such as: Coding for Climate Awareness, Environmental Justice Heroes, STEM for Young Ecologists, Universal Design for Learning in EE, Nature Journaling, Loose Parts play, pollinator gardens, school gardens, carbon capture, Ecosystems learning and more! We also had a World Cafe that allowed participants to have meaningful conversations around key environmental education topics and questions. We ended the day with a social hour for more networking and discussions.
