Chart Your Route in Environmental Education
For 25 years, the Oklahoma Environmental Education Expo (eeExpo) has been the map that helps educators, agencies, and community leaders use to navigate the changing landscape of teaching and learning about nature, conservation, and the environment. In 2025, OKAEE connected 187 educators who reached more than 237,000 Oklahoma students—and this year, the journey continues with you in the driver’s seat.
Based off your valuable feedback and increasing demand for this event, the 2026 eeExpo expands to a two-day conference celebrating 100 years of Route 66.
This year’s theme, Your JournEE — The Past, Present, and Future of Oklahoma EE, invites you to reflect on your own route—where you’ve been, where you’re headed, and how you can help shape the next stretch of Oklahoma’s environmental education highway.
You choose your direction. You set your pace. You make the difference.

Present at the Expo
“Your JournEE” invites educators, partners, and community leaders to chart where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re headed in environmental education across Oklahoma. We’re seeking sessions that honor our roots, highlight effective practices today, and imagine bold, next-step approaches for tomorrow.
What we’re looking for:
Past: Lessons learned, place-based histories, and stories that shaped Oklahoma EE—especially those elevating Indigenous knowledge, rural perspectives, and community partnerships.
Present: Classroom-tested strategies, nature-based pedagogy, universal design for learning, student voice/leadership, and programs that build belonging and access for all learners.
Future: Innovation in curriculum and assessment, tech-enabled field inquiry, district/agency collaborations, and data-informed approaches that grow reach and impact across the state.
Sessions that reflect diverse voices, and offer concrete takeaways are especially encouraged.
Join us in equipping Oklahoma’s formal and nonformal educators with inspiring ideas and practical tools to deepen connections, strengthen resilience, and spark action—past to present to future.
